How to Take the Airport Railroad (AREX) from Incheon Airport to Seoul

If you just landed in Korea and want the fastest, most affordable way to get to central Seoul, the Airport Railroad (AREX) is your best option. Here's a step-by-step guide for international travelers.


What is AREX?

AREX (Airport Railroad Express) connects Incheon International Airport and downtown Seoul, with two types of trains:

  1. Express Train – Direct to Seoul Station without stops
  2. All-Stop Train – Stops at every station between Incheon Airport and Seoul Station

Where to Find AREX at Incheon Airport

Terminal 1:
After customs, follow the signs that say "Airport Railroad" or "Train to Seoul". Go down to B1 (Basement Level).

Terminal 2:
After exiting customs, go to B1 and follow the signs for "Airport Railroad".
